Lee Warren

Lee Warren, born in Phoenix and attended college for two years before moving to California. After his discharge from the army in 1965, Warren moved to San Francisco and used the G.I. Bill to attend college. While enrolled in black history classes, he learned about the Buffalo Soldiers and their rich history in Arizona. Warren vowed to educate others about these brave men.

Returning to Phoenix in 1980, he helped establish the Arizona 10th Cavalry Association. Part of the group’s mission is to educate the public by bringing Buffalo Soldier history into the classroom. Warren has been portraying army lieutenant Henry O. Flipper for eighteen years.
