Hazel Overturf

Hazel Overturf, born and raised in Mill Valley, California. After graduating from San Francisco State University with a B.A. in Ecology, she moved to Flagstaff and earned a Masters Degree in Ecology from Northern Arizona University. Hazel lived briefly in Tucson, where she worked for the Anaconda Mining Company, and then moved to Alaska.

While living in Anchorage, she became active in theater, receiving training on stage and behind the scenes. Hazel has been a history interpreter since returning to Arizona in 1997. She enjoys hiking, birdwatching, needle arts, crafts, and, of course, history.
