Chapter 7: From Territory to State: Introduction

The late 1800s and early 1900s brought Arizona into the modern age. The Arizona Territory became a state. More people started moving to Arizona. Arizonans became more involved in problems outside our state like the Mexican Revolution and World War I. New inventions made life easier. At this time, tourists started coming to Arizona to enjoy our beautiful scenery, Wild West folklore, and dude ranches.
