AHM First Fridays: Why Black History Matters

Join community historian and History Lab curator Bernard Wilson in a discussion of his exhibit “Why Black History Matters”. This exhibit represents some of the Black Tucsonans/Southern Arizonans who are part of the Old Pueblo’s rich heritage.

Bernard is an independent researcher who lives in Tucson. His research interests focus on Tucson’s Black community from 1860-1920. He co-curated this exhibit with Zaellotius Wilson, a graduate student in medieval art.

Program included with admission to the museum. Discounted admission begins every Friday from 4-8 p.m. Free validated parking available in the Main Gate garage, enter on 2nd Street.
