Discover the history of Tucson’s Chinese community from its 19th century beginnings through the present day and individual members of our local community through time. Researcher and librarian Sandy Chan will explain our local Chinese community in a greater historical context both nationally and internationally.

Sandy Chan holds a Masters Degree in Library Science and was a faculty librarian at Pima Community College for 25 years. She is the former president of the Arizona State Genealogical Society, volunteers at the library and archive at the Tucson Arizona Historical Society and is the author of “The Incredible Life of Ah One: Tucson’s Chinese Sailor,” published in the Winter 2015 Journal of Arizona History.

Program included with admission to the museum. Discounted admission begins every Friday from 4-8 p.m. Free validated parking available in the Main Gate garage.
