In this visually rich presentation, learn to recognize major trends in 20th century sign design by examining dozens of beautiful vintage images of Tucson neon.
Carlos Lozano has served on the Tucson-Pima County Historical Commission since 2008 and chaired the committee which successfully amended the Sign Code, allowing and encouraging preservation of vintage neon. Carlos is the founder of VanishingTucson.com. He studied Neon / Illuminated Sculpture at “The Crucible” in Oakland under Christian Schiess.
Program included with admission to the museum. Discounted admission begins every Friday from 4-8 p.m. Free validated parking available in the Main Gate garage.
