In recognition of Juneteenth, the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States, join us for a documentary film and group discussion on JOSIAH: The Story That Sparked The Civil War. Josiah Henson is the forgotten hero and inspiration for the character Tom in Harriet Beecher Stowe’s influential novel Uncle Tom’s Cabin. After the documentary screening, community scholar, Bernard J. Wilson will facilitate a conversation. Your participation is welcome. Please RSVP: 520-617-1154.
